STORY OF DR. JASON YAMADA
About Dr. Jason Yamada DDS, MS – He was a private practicing periodontist for over 27 years in Torrance, California. Born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii in the ’60s, he experienced several “old-fashioned” dentists and upon graduating from the University of Southern California Dental School with his doctor of dental surgery degree and later from Northwestern Dental School with a master’s degree in Oral Biology and a Periodontal specialty certificate, he immediately was recognized for his talent for patient management and lecturing. After over 25 years of private practice and lecturing worldwide, he was diagnosed and treated for a benign brain tumor and put his work and lecturing to a halt. After a few years of reconsideration and returning to practice, he soon realized his true passion for teaching and the goal of creating an online platform at www.drjcares.com to help dentists provide better care for their patients as well as patients be able to better their health through knowledge. - 1982- Graduated From Iolani High School in Honolulu Hawaii.
- 1986- Graduated From the University of Southern California with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology with honors.
- 1990-Graduated the University of Southern California with a Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree with honors.
- 1992-Graduate of Northwestern University Dental School with a specialty certificate in Periodontics and a master’s degree in Oral Biology.
- 1992-Current-Private Practice in Dental Implants and Periodontics.
- 2011- Patient advocate and representative for class action lawsuit on behalf of patients against the first, one of the largest and most well-known Dental Implant companies in the world.
- 2011 -Past president of the Harbor Dental Society and Board of Trustees of the California Dental Association.
- Specialty instructor at Loma Linda Dental School for over 15 years.
- Inventor and patent holder of the ISM (Internal Sinus Manipulation) technique along with over 7 patented instruments and techniques in the field of dentistry.
- Lecturer, instructor, and mentor to thousands of dentists in over 10 different countries.
- Recipient of various awards and certificates throughout many countries for teaching and lecturing.
